BAT-MAN!....

I've always had this thing for Batman, and I am unashamed to admit that yes...I WATCHED THE BATMAN LIVE ACTION TV SHOW. I'm hella proud of it, man. I also admit that I don't read the comics nearly as religiously as some people, and there are those that would accuse me of not being like all 'Fan' like.
Whatev.
(I'm bored, go with the random writing.)
Anyway, Rach is still sort of disowned for her 'meh' about Batman comment. Her saving grace is giving Joker some love.
And I did see this movie yesterday in IMAX, which is why I am posting about it today. One must allow the come down process in order to be truly objective. So! For those that have watched it...
I give you Critic EJ:
For the most part I found The Dark Knight to be amazingly fun. I did catch on pretty quick to who Joker was at the start in the Bank heist, but I can't tell if that was purposeful or not. And as far as Joker goes? I loved it. So much better than Nicholson in my opinion. Make-up and costume was brilliant.
Bale was my king as always. I bet you all didn't know I loved the guy, did you? My love for Bale isn't so much 'oh he's so HOT' fangirlism, of course. It is more of a respect for his acting. There are few movies he's done that I don't like. Incidentally? Empire of the Sun? He's like 11...and stole me poor heart.
Maggie as Rachel Dawes...was alright. I can't say she was better than Holmes or not. Maybe more fitting? I don't know. There was something honest to her acting, but she didn't really seem to hold my attention that long. Unless she was with Harvey.
Aaron Eckheart was alright too. I wasn't too keen on the Two-Face look, but it beats Tommy Lee Jone's and Mr. Purple Face.
Joker...wow. I have to say I wasn't sure what to think when I was going into a Heath Ledger as the Joker, thing. The more trailers I saw, the giddier I became, of course. But I kept having to temper my excitement. I hate getting all up just to be disappointed.
Scarecrow- SO coming back for THIRD MOVIE baby. Oh hell yeah. Pretty, pretty Scarecrow. And he made me laugh. (Which, probably wasn't all that hard in that movie, really. <.<)
Overall- I give it an A. It goes long. I honestly think that after Rachel died (which was a bit predictable, but you had to sort of figure it walking in. For one, The Bat never keeps a girl unless you count Catwoman. And even then, she's a bit mental, yeah know?) the climax of the movie was hit. The scene with Joke getting away, and all that just felt like 'The End'. This usually kills anything for me. I hate the whole "And the end...but Wait, theres MORE" thing. I start to get antsy.
Of course, considering everything, It is good they went on as Ledger isn't here for the next movie. But still...it bugged me.
