1. I love my friends. In Real Life, and online. Mostly because there are a good number of people online that I've come to know well enough that they are just as much my friends as those sitting next to me in a coffee shop.

Recently, in RL, one of my best friends has had to deal with a stalker. So for those online that were upset at my abrupt or sudden 'going to get coffee' it is usually because something involving the stalker came up, and to make Rachel feel a little safer...Mikey and I spend all night at the Coffee shop. Saturday we finally made a police report concerning the stalker.

So hopefully that is dealt with.

2. Lately I've been feeling a bit under-accomplished with my writing for Percy. I'm not sure if it is because he is the only muse I've been writing prompts with, or if it is just the subject matter. I do want to write it, but at the same time I feel like I'm not quite reaching a point of satisfaction that I want.

Which, really, is ironic. Since I started writing for him, I've received a number of comments from people I've previously never known, about how much they liked the character. Sadly, I cannot say I do not sometimes wonder where this comes from, mostly because this has never happened before. Generally, and maybe I'm jaded, most people seem not care about characters that are not played by friends, or anything of that sort. I know, I'm just as guilty. I read what is on my flist, because it is there and I always remember to read that. (Which reminds me, I really need to add Loki so I can finally read those prompts Ana wanted me to read. Honestly, I haven't forgotten.)

So I'm honored in one breath, and curious in the other as to how many actually read Percy's writing. I also wonder how many people give honest assessments to the writing.

3. I really need to get back to finish some of my Photoshop projects that I haven't gotten to yet. Hell, I can't even remember what projects those all are.

i am constantly surprised when people tell me that they read my writing before we were even rping together, let alone friends. i know that lots of people read prompt responses by people they don't necessarily know, but very few people comment to posts to say so. it's surprising when you find one of your characters being a lot more popular than you initially thought.

Stalkers are horrible. When I did work at a local store I acquired one for a little while , a guy who I wasn't interested in in the way he wanted and just without knowing anything about me showed up trying to be bossy and controling. I ended up having to get smart mouthed with him, it probably wasn't very bright of me, but I just got fed up. I hope it is dealt with and if it isn't your friend Rach can get a restraining order against this guy if he doesn't stop and maybe he'll learn his lesson then.

Percy *is* a great character. For one thing he is well thought through. I used to read some of your prompts for awhile there before I got annoyed with LJ and he was always fun to play with in SWS. I think the appeal of the character, at least for me, is how withdrawn and mysterious he is because of his past but how he inspires in others this need to get to know him even if he is really selective and has a lot he isn't tellling or saying to anyone. I hope you can find the inspiration to write him the way you want again.

The audience only ever sees the finished product, they don't see the original idea in your head, the redrafting, etc. so they're mostly unaware of what you wanted to do with the piece at the very beginning. As the writer, you're always going to see the faults, ways in which you could've made something bigger, better, harder, faster. It's hindsight. Maybe you could write your prompt at the start of the week, ignore it until the end of the week, then go back to it. It couldn't hurt.

As for photoshopping, you owe me a Hades profile banner and a Dysnomia profile banner. Oh, and some icons. I has pictures for you to use, so when you're back from your Dallas adventure I'll send them to you.
